Obama’s offensive presents to Britain

The Queen sells Obamas iPod on eBay. Yes, really.

You know what’s crazy? That’s right. President Obama actually gave an iPod to the Queen of England. I’m not kidding. He really did this in April 2009.

The iPod contained speeches, recordings and pictures of Obama and the First Lady.

This was an incredibly unfit choice for an official gift from the American president to the British Queen. What the hell does she care about Obama’s stupid speeches?

Not at all, as it turns out. She sold the iPod on eBay with “no satisfaction guarantee promised or implied” (see picture above).

There is more.

In February 2009 Obama returned the Churchill bust, a state gift from Britain.

Obama also gave insulting gifts to former prime minister Gordon Brown in March 2009. “Brown gave Obama a pen holder made from the wood of a British warship that helped stamp out the slave trade (whose sister ship provided the wood for the Oval Office desk). Obama gave Brown some DVDs from the local corner shop”, as Mark Humphreys notes.

It doesn’t end here:

“A State Department official, questioned about the apparent snubs to Britain, said in March 2009: “There’s nothing special about Britain. You’re just the same as the other 190 countries in the world. You shouldn’t expect special treatment.””

Britain is America’s number one ally. Both in Iraq and in Afghanistan, Britain has suffered the second most deaths. It has sacrificed a lot on America’s side.

I hope this doesn’t lead to an international crisis on Obama’s ego front, but Mr. President: You’re a clueless, arrogant asshole and you are entirely unfit to be president of anything. Dude.

    Is this picture real?
    “first lady, Michelle, wearing…”????

It does indeed seem to be quite true and real, yes. Most newspapers didn’t report on Obama’s self-promoting content on the iPod, they mostly only mention the broadway songs included.

As it seems, the Queen asked her staff to sell the stupid thing.

But what I´d really like to know, is wether the picture above is a real screenshot, or a modified one.
        Sry, my mistake.

(Actually I can´t help myself having massive doubts about that. It seems not really plausible that the queen sells the ipod herself.)

      • terryrotter says:

I doesn’t have to be herself. Someone from her staff can simply have opened an account, which seems likely.

        The screenshot is from here:

However, in the Spiegel article no Obama speeches stored on the ipod were mentioned, only videos of the queen’s visit to the USA and the queen’s favourite music.

Lol. To good not to believe it.
Hope it’ll help her financial problems, though. The Queens iPod should be worth more than 40 $.
